This project was completed during the first lockdown of the pandemic, and it was also my first collaboration with Abraham Hostels. For me, it was a perfect moment to work, but on the other hand, the hostel was going through uncertain times and had many empty rooms. Mor Tishler, who is the art manager for all Abraham Hostels, and I decided to focus on a project that would bring color, fun, and life back into the rooms. We also wanted to incorporate the unique culture and history that this city has to offer into this vibrant design, to create a new world that lives inside of Jerusalem. This project was far bigger than a painting on the wall. Seeing all of the team excited and inspired by the new rooms was by far the most gratifying part of the project. There are 28 murals in total, each completely different. The color palette is in accordance with the Abraham Hostels Jerusalem brand guidelines.
